As citizens and residents of Little Compton our mission is to provide financing for community housing in Little Compton.

We aspire to be an accessible source of capital to enable home ownership for people in Little Compton, those who wish to live and work here and seniors who wish to remain in town.

“Living here all my life, I’ve seen the cost of houses force young people to move away. The work of the Commons Foundation has my full support.”

  • Rusty Cabot

Farmer, White Rock Farm; Trustee the Little Compton Agricultural Conservancy Trust

  • Bob Mushen
    Little Compton Town Council

“The Commons Foundation has introduced several important new considerations into the ongoing public discussion regarding housing in Town.  I consider their approach to have been careful and effective, and look forward to working with them on the issues.”

  • Patrick McHugh, President
    Little Compton Town Council

“Sixteen years ago, I realized that a strong Wilbur & McMahon and excellent recreational facilities go hand in hand with housing for young families. Since then, the school and playing fields have improved significantly. Now, it is time for housing. The Commons Foundation’s commonsense approach to family housing, and their focus on raising funds from generous town citizens, has jump-started a long-overdue process. I support their efforts wholeheartedly.”
