The Commons Fund

The Commons Fund is primarily a low-cost source of capital to enable fast action in acquiring residential buildings, land and improvements for the development of community housing in Little Compton. The Fund buys or bridge finances the purchase of residential properties and improvement costs until traditional financing is available to repay the capital. It is also available to support investment in community development initiatives in Little Compton.

The Sakonnet Fund

The Sakonnet Fund's primary use will be to make grants and loans to subsidize community housing purchase costs, to help community housing buyers with down payment assistance, and to assure continuity of residency for cost burdened households as the means to increase housing affordability for Little Compton residents. The Sakonnet Fund may also provide financial support for Little Compton community development projects meant to enrich the vibrancy of the town.

A small percentage of both funds may be used at the discretion of the TCF Board of Directors for Foundation operating expenses. TCF Directors are unpaid volunteers so there is no management overhead expense.​
